Rs 40L Seized At Kesinga Railway Station; Youth Detained For Questioning

Kesinga: Titlagarh Government Railway Police (GRP) seized Rs 40 lakh in cash from a youth at Kesinga Railway Station.

Acting on specific intelligence, the Titlagarh GRP team conducted a search operation at Kesinga station and intercepted a youth carrying a bag containing Rs 40 lakh. The arrested person has been identified as Prabhat Samuel. He was detained while attempting to board a train with the large sum of cash.

During preliminary questioning, Prabhat told the police that he had received the money from Ajay Soni, a businessman from the Kesinga area, and was heading to Raipur with it. The GRP has taken the youth into custody and is interrogating him to ascertain the source and purpose of the cash. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the money is linked to any illegal activity.
