Bhubaneswar: In a major relief, 1,23,849 women who were deprived of the third installment under the Subhadra Yojana have received their financial assistance today.

According to sources, more than Rs 61 crore has been directly credited to the bank accounts of these beneficiaries. These women had not received their dues, which was released on March 8  on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, due to various technical and verification issues. Following fresh verification, pending amount has been disbursed to the eligible beneficiaries.

It is learnt from government sources that field verification of around one lakh more pending applications is currently underway. Meanwhile, the government has already received over 3.26 lakh new applications for the scheme so far.
