Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to bolster judicial infrastructure in Odisha, Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday announced the allocation of Rs 7.64 crore for the financial year 2025-26.
This funding has been issued under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice.
The announcement was made via the Minister’s official social media account X (formerly Twitter) where he stated, “The Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, has issued a Mother Sanction of Rs 7.64 crore to Odisha for FY 2025-26 through SNA-SPARSH—an innovative system designed for the swift and smooth flow of funds under CSS.”

The funds will be routed through SNA-SPARSH, an advanced digital platform aimed at streamlining financial transactions between the Centre and the states. The system integrates the Centre’s Public Financial Management System (PFMS), the state’s financial systems, and the RBI’s e-Kuber platform to facilitate real-time and efficient fund transfers.
The Minister further highlighted that the sanctioned amount will significantly strengthen judicial infrastructure in the state and enhance the delivery of timely justice.
“This fund will reinforce judicial infrastructure and improve access to speedy justice in the state,” he added.
