Sambalpur: A man from Sambalpur district was robbed of Rs 3 lakh in the guise of updation of KYC (Know Your Customer). A complaint in this regard has been registered at Sambalpur Cyber Police Station.
As per the complaint lodged by one Shiv Kumar Verma (29) on July 18, he had on July 14 received a message on his mobile stating his SBI account will be blocked. He was asked to click on a link to update his PAN Card number.
Verma clicked on the link and received an OTP. After he entered the OTP, Rs 3 lakh was withdrawn fraudulently from his SBI account. He requested the police to take necessary legal action against the culprit.
