Bhubaneswar: In view of the increased passenger rush during the festive season, the Railways has extended the services of special trains between Sambalpur and Santragachi and announced additional AC Three-Tier coaches in four trains connecting Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.
The Sambalpur–Santragachi special train (08303) will operate for two additional trips every Wednesday from November 4 to 18, 2026. Its return service, train number 08304, will run every Thursday from November 5 to 19.
In a separate measure to provide additional accommodation, one extra AC Three-Tier coach will be attached temporarily to four Bhubaneswar–New Delhi trains on specified dates.
Accordingly, the additional coach will be available on the 20817 Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express on November 7 and the 20818 New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express on November 8.
Similarly, the 22823 Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express will have an additional coach on November 10, while the 22824 New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas Rajdhani Express will receive the extra coach on November 11.
The measures are aimed at providing more travel options and easing the pressure on available accommodation during the festive travel period.
