Redhakhol: In what can be described as a bizarre accident, the driver of a Hyva truck transporting sand from the Mahanadi River in Redhakhol lost control on the wheels and crashed against the wall of a bridge near Kandhara village on the Redhakhol-Boudh road in Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
According to reports, the vehicle crashed on the bridge around 5.30 am on Monday and is hanging from the bridge in a precarious condition. The driver of the vehicle is trapped inside and the Fire Services and police personnel are making an effort to rescue him by cutting open the driver’s cabin.
It is not clear whether the driver trapped inside the vehicle is alive or dead.
