Nabarangpur: The right arm of a Class 7 student was fractured after he was beaten by a teacher with a plastic pipe at a government residential school in Nabarangpur district. The student’s father has lodged a police complaint in this regard seeking stringent action against the teacher.
Reportedly, the student identified as Aditya Bag was residing in the hostel of Government (SSD) Higher Secondary School, Dhodipani. On July 11, he was beaten by the teacher Umesh Chandra Sunani over a fight between two students. Aditya’s parents came to know about the incident when they had gone to meet him.
Aditya’s father Trilochan Bag apprised the matter to the Headmaster and also lodged an FIR at Chandahandi Police Station. However, the matter was later compromised.
As Aditya was experiencing severe pain in his arm, Trilochan took him for a check up at a private clinic in Umerkote. He came to know that Aditya’s arm has been fractured. Subsequently, he lodged another complaint against the teacher at Chandahandi Police Station.
