Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing heat and humid conditions, district administrations of Cuttack and Kendrapara have ordered morning school timings for all government and private schools.
In Kendrapara district, schools will function from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, while in Cuttack district the timing will be 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The morning classes will continue till June 25.
The administrations have directed school authorities to ensure arrangements for ORS and drinking water for students to prevent heat-related illness.
On Thursday, Cuttack recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4°C while Kendrapara recorded 37.0°C.
