Schools In Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore & Keonjhar To Remain Closed Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Schools and Anganwadi centres in Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Keonjhar districts will remain closed tomorrow (October 26) in the wake of heavy rain under the influence of cyclone ‘Dana’.

The Collectors of the respective district announced the closure of schools and Anganwadi centres due to rain and operation of temporary cyclone shelters.

Bhadrak Collector today announced that all schools in the district will remain closed on Saturday due to the heavy rain caused by the cyclonic storm.

Similarly, the administration has announced that all schools and Anganwadi Centres in Jajpur will remain shut tomorrow amid the heavy rainfall alert for the district.

Balasore Collector announced holiday for schools, colleges and Anganwadi centres as these places have been used as temporary cyclone centres.

As the IMD predicted heavy rain in Keonjhar the district administration has decided to close down all schools and Anganwadi centres.

According to reports, coastal districts are likely to witness heavy rain under the influence of the cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ that made landfall at Habalikhati Nature Camp in Bhitarkanika in Kendrapara district in the early hours of Friday.

The storm has weakened into a deep depression after landfall.
