Bhubaneswar: A specialised kidney and urology hospital has come up in Bhubaneswar with an investment of Rs 100 crore by Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), marking the company’s entry into Odisha’s healthcare sector, the company said on Tuesday.
The new facility, established under the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), will provide specialised kidney and urology services to patients across Odisha and neighbouring regions.
AHH has invested Rs 650 crore in AINU so far, with an additional Rs 100 crore committed towards the Bhubaneswar facility and other key initiatives in the state, according to a company statement.
The Bhubaneswar hospital is AINU’s eighth facility in India. The institute already operates centres in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri and Chennai.
The company aims to expand AINU’s network to 10 hospitals by the end of the current financial year as part of its growth strategy.
“At AHH, our approach is to strengthen specialised healthcare platforms such as AINU by investing in clinical capabilities, technology and infrastructure to expand access to advanced care across underserved markets. AINU’s expansion into Odisha is an important step in addressing this gap while strengthening its presence in eastern India,” AHH Executive Director Vishal Bali said.
He added that the company was on track to close the current financial year with a network of 10 hospitals, further expanding its presence across the country.
AINU Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Guduru said the expansion into Odisha was driven by the opportunity to combine clinical expertise, advanced infrastructure and operational excellence to serve a larger population.
“This is the second exclusive uro-nephrology hospital in Odisha after AIIMS Bhubaneswar. We remain committed to building a trusted healthcare destination for patients across eastern India,” he said.
