Bhubaneswar: A Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here today framed charges against Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former Cuttack-Choudwar MLA Pravat Biswal and his wife Laxmi Bilasini Biswal under various sections of the IPC in the Seashore chit fund scam.
The CBI court-I here framed charges against Biswal and his wife under sections 420, 120(B), 409, 467, 468 and 471 of IPC over their land deal between Seashore Group.
The Biswal’s wife Laxmi Bilasini had allegedly received Rs 25 lakh from the Seashore Group over the land deal.
