Bhubaneswar: Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian is on a two-day visit to Malkangiri district. The visit started on Tuesday with the senior official’s arrival at Mathili helipad from where he left for Shiv Sagar.
Pandian directed the district administration to expedite the beautification work of Shiv Sagar, and reviewed progress of Saptadhara irrigation project. He also took stock of the proposed railway line project.
The 5T Secretary inaugurated Sahid Laxman Naik Bhavan in Mathili and held multiple rounds of discussions with local people. From there, Pandian left for Sitakund in Mudulipada panchayat and discussed about beautification of the site.
The senior official visited Hantalaguda view point, and met the BSF and police personnel there. Later, he reached Badapada and visited the newly constructed educational complex at under Setu Yojana and spoke to students in the hostel.
Collector Vishal Singh, SP Nitesh Wadhwani and officials from various departments of the district were present during the visit. People from the erstwhile cut-off area met the 5T Secretary and voiced their concerns.
Pandian will review the newly built 33 KV sub-station at Badapada early tomorrow morning and visit the Gurupriya bridge. Similarly, there are plans to review various developmental works in Chitrakonda, and visit the Mission Sakti Cafe and 5T Boys High School.
He is also scheduled to visit, Manyam Kunda and Motu in Kalimela block on Wednesday, reports stated.
