Jeypore (Koraput): Two persons were killed in a road accident near Kaliajhali intersection under Ramagiri outpost in Boipariguda block of Koraput district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Rabinanda of Majhiguda village and Maheshwar of Kulabeda village, police said.
According to reports, a pickup van travelling from Ramagiri towards Dandabadi collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying two youths near Majhiguda intersection. The impact of the collision was severe, and both bike riders died on the spot.
Locals rushed to the spot after the accident and informed the police. Personnel from Boipariguda police station reached the site, seized the vehicles involved, and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap.
