Bhubaneswar: A security guard was killed after a truck rammed into a jewellery shop at Patnagarh in Bolangir district, on Monday night.
The deceased security guard has been identified as Siddharth Pradhan.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck driver who was allegedly drunk lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the shop. Locals rushed Pradhan to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Upon being informed, police seized the truck and detained the driver for questioning. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
