Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police have tightened security outside the residences of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, following the death of a minor girl in the Balanga area of Puri district. The police have sealed the roads leading to the official quarters and deployed additional personnel in the VIP residential zone to maintain law and order.
The security presence has also been increased outside the victim’s house in Bayabara, Balanga, anticipating potential public tension. Additional police personnel have been mobilised to the area to ensure that the situation remains under control.
The Odisha Police have stated that their investigation into the incident is in its final stage and has been conducted with utmost sincerity. They claim that, based on the investigation, no evidence has been found indicating the involvement of any other individual in the incident. “We are deeply saddened by the demise of the girl involved in the Balanga incident. The investigation into the matter has been conducted with utmost sincerity and is now in its final stage,” the Odisha Police stated on X.
The victim’s father has appealed to the public not to politicize his daughter’s death, stating that she ended her life due to mental duress. He urged everyone to maintain sensitivity and respect his family’s grief during this difficult time.
