Nabarangpur: A youth fell into the water and went missing while taking selfie near the Ghumareswar waterfall in Nabarangpur district on Thursday.
Reportedly, there is a high water fall near the famous Ghumareswar Temple in the district. Every year thousands of tourists come to enjoy the beauty of this temple and tourist destination.
Haribandhu Goud (18) the son of Prafulla Goud of Koraput district had came to visit the temple along with his two friends.
After visiting the temple, he was wandering near the waterfall. He was taking a selfie when his legs slipped and he fell into the water.
On getting information, fire services personnel from Tentulikhunti reached the spot and launched a search operation. However, they were not able to trace him.
The search was called off in the evening. A complaint has been lodged at Tentulikhunti Police Station regarding the disappearance of the youth.
