Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Biswal today took charge as the Director of the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
At a function held at the Lok Sampark Bhavan conference room, Biswal was welcomed with bouquets by Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Behuria, Joint Secretary Kalamuddin, Additional Director Smita Kar and Joint Director Sucheta Priyadarshini.
Officers also congratulated former Director Anuj Kumar Das Patnaik on his new assignment. Other officers and employees of the department welcomed Biswal on the occasion.
Seeking cooperation from all, Director Biswal called for collective efforts for execution of the departmental work schedule.
It is worth noting that Biswal was earlier posted as Additional Secretary in the Commerce and Transport Department. He has earlier served in various capacities including in the Odisha State Transport Corporation and CRUT, showcasing his administrative acumen.
