Senior Revenue Assistant Arrested By Vigilance For Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: A senior Revenue Assistant at the Office of the Settlement Officer, Major Settlement, Sambalpur, has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance for possessing disproportionate assets.

The vigilance authorities conducted searches at four locations, including the residential building of Basudev Bhoi in Bargarh, a building in Sambalpur, and his office, uncovering assets worth crores.

The seized assets include one multi-storeyed building in Bargarh Town, one building in Sambalpur Town, 16 valuable plots, and a four-wheeler vehicle.

Bhoi failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these assets, leading to his arrest. A case (Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No. 26/2025) has been registered against him, and he’ll be presented before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur, today
