Bhubaneswar: Senior journalist Arun Panda passed away at his residence in CDA in Cuttack today. He was 76.
For a prolonged period Panda was fighting his battle with cancer. He had retired as Senior Assistant Editor of Odia daily ‘The Samaja’. Post his retirement Panda played a major role in the field of social service.
He had earned fame as a talented and bold journalist. He had served as Special correspondent in various districts in the state. He was also known as an eloquent speaker, columnist and writer. Many prominent people visited his residence to pay their last respects to the departed soul.
