Paralakhemundi: A server room at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Gajapati district was gutted in a fire that broke out on Saturday morning, damaging servers, electronic equipment and other materials.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the RTO office in Paralakhemundi, with flames quickly spreading through the server room. After being alerted, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and launched an operation to contain the blaze.
Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control and prevented the flames from spreading to other parts of the office building. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
A preliminary assessment suggests that an electrical short circuit may have triggered the fire. However, the exact cause of the blaze will be ascertained after a detailed investigation.
