Bhubaneswar: “Service to people is the main objective, politics is just a means to achieve it. We should all remember this. Politics happens during panchayat and municipal polls. After elections are over, all should come together and work for the people,” stated Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik addressing party workers through video conferencing on the second day of the preparatory meeting for the party’s month-long annual outreach programme–Jan Samperk Padyatra scheduled to begin on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2).
Today was the second and concluding day of the BJD’s preparatory meeting for the Jan Samperk Padyatra. The meeting was organized at the Barmunda ground here and was attended by the party’s peoples’ representatives and office-bearers.
Patnaik said that as a regional party, the BJD has always prioritised Odisha’s interests and self-esteem.
“We will continue to do so. Our party has stood by the people through thick and thin. Keep the trend afloat with the blessings of the people of Odisha reach out to them and make the padayatra a success,” Patnaik told party men.
At the outset, BJD’s organization secretary Pranab Prakash Das, senior party leaders Ashok Panda, Pratap Deb, Atanu Sabyasachi, and Arun Sahu inaugurated the second day of the preparatory meeting by lighting the lamp.
Organization secretary Das urged party workers to convey the message of the Chief Minister’s strong leadership and transparent administration and how Odisha is moving at a fast pace on the path of development in every field today to every nook and corner of the state.
