Bhubaneswar: A speeding car struck three motorcycles, injuring seven persons critically, near the Kesura Jagannath temple on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The driver, suspected to be under the influence of liquor, fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported that the car first collided with an oncoming scooty, then crashed into a parked bike, and finally hit another motorcycle before speeding away. The injured, all local residents, were rushed to a nearby hospital.
CCTV footage from a nearby shop captured the entire incident. Police are investigating the matter, but the car driver’s identity remains unknown.
