Bhubaneswar: The severe cyclonic storm Dana has weakened into a well-marked low-pressure over north Odisha, according to the latest update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the latest information provided by IMD, the depression moved slightly westwards during the past six hours and weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area. The system is likely to weaken further and become insignificant within the next 12 hours.
Although cyclone Dana has weakened, the system will bring rainfall in several districts, alerted the regional weather office.
Meanwhile, the department has issued alerts in various districts, cautioning residents about the potential rainfall.
