Malkangiri: Malkangiri police on Saturday busted an alleged sex racket operating from a rented house in Patraguda village, arresting six people, including the kingpin.
According to the police, those arrested included two victims, one organiser, and two customers. The raid was conducted by a team of female police officers, who recovered cash and a car from the premises. Other items linked to the operation were also seized.
“Those involved in the case will face strict legal action,” said Malkangiri Police Station IIC Regan Kindo while briefing the media.
The IIC further stated that the kingpin had been previously arrested. The victims hail from Jagatsinghpur and Bhadrak districts, while the customers are from Sukma district in Chhattisgarh.
Police have assured that the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests may follow.
