Paradip: A major maritime incident has been reported off the Paradip coast where a Panamanian-flagged cargo vessel reportedly sank in the mid-sea.
According to initial reports, the bulk carrier ship, M/V Ocean Winner, was carrying iron ore and had 24 crew members onboard, most of them Chinese nationals. The vessel was en route from Paradip to Singapore after reaching Paradip Port on August 20.
The ship reportedly sank after sailing about 200 nautical miles from Paradip.
Following the incident, the Odisha Coast Guard has launched a rescue operation to trace and evacuate the crew members.
