Puri: Special arrangements will be made for darshan of the deities by differently-abled devotees at the Shree Jagannath Temple here.
Special arrangements for darshan by differently-abled devotees will be made at the Uttar Dwar of the temple after inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama project, informed Ranjan Kumar Das, Chief Administrator, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) following the demand by Sri Kshetra Dibyang Seva Sangathan .
The Chief Administrator Das said that a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be drawn up for darshan by differently-abled devotees keeping in mind the traditions and rituals of the 12th century shrine.
A time slot will be specified for darshan by differently-abled persons every day, he added.
He said that the special arrangement will be made with the approval of the Chhattisa Nijog and Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee.
Under Srimandir Parikrama project a waiting room will be constructed for differently-abled devotees at the Uttar Dwar, he added.
