Bhubaneswar: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll underway in Odisha has made significant progress within just twelve days, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) reaching 94.37 per cent of voters across the state, official sources said on Wednesday.
According to government sources, enumeration forms have so far been distributed to 3,15,18,412 electors as part of the exercise aimed at preparing a clean and error-free voter list. Of these, 39,83,486 forms have already been digitized, reflecting the rapid pace of the revision process.
The Election Commission has set June 28 as the last date for distribution and submission of enumeration forms. Authorities have urged voters who have not yet completed the process to submit their forms to their respective BLOs within the stipulated period.
Voters also have the option of downloading the enumeration form from the Election Commission’s official voter services portal, filling it out and uploading it online themselves.
Officials cautioned that electors who fail to submit the required forms by the deadline risk having their names removed from the voter list.
To address grievances related to form distribution, revision procedures or other issues, voters have been advised to contact the Election Commission’s toll-free helpline number 1950.
The administration has appealed to citizens to actively participate in the special revision campaign, stressing that public cooperation is essential for ensuring an accurate, updated and error-free electoral roll. Remaining voters have been urged to complete the process before June 28 to safeguard their voting rights.
