Bhubaneswar: A six-foot-long python was safely rescued from Lamtaput village in Koraput district on Monday.
According to reports, the snake was first spotted by a few locals struggling to move along the roadside before slithering into nearby bushes. News of the python quickly spread, drawing a crowd of curious onlookers.
Upon being informed, the Forest Department officials promptly arrived at the scene. After a careful rescue operation, they confirmed the snake’s length to be approximately six feet.
The rescued python was later released into a secluded area of the nearby forest.
