Baripada: Six members of a family from Bihar, including women and children, were critically injured when their Scorpio crashed into a trailer near Betnoti in Mayurbhanj district at 5 am today.
As per reports, they were en route to Puri for Lord Jagannath’s darshan when the trailer took a sudden left turn into a petrol pump on NH-18. As a result, Scorpio driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the truck from behind.
Police and locals rushed the injured to Betnoti CHC before shifting them to Baripada-based Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital.
Betnoti police meanwhile have begun investigation into it.
