Balasore: Six people sustained critical injuries after two cars collided head-on near Benuda Chhak on State Highway 57 in Odisha’s Baltimore district on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a Bolero car en route from Mayurbhanj to Digha collided with a Mahindra XUV heading towards Balasore. Both the vehicles were moving at high speed and collided head-on at Benuda Chhak injuring six people. The occupants of Bolero were going for picnic in Digha.
On receiving the news, the police arrived and rushed the victims to Jaleswar Medical Center. Four of them were later shifted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their condition deteriorated. The driver of one vehicle escaped after the accident.
The police have seized the two cars involved in the accident and launched an investigation.
