Snakebite Claims Four Lives In Ganjam And Keonjhar Districts

Bhubaneswar: Two separate incidents of snakebites claimed the lives of four persons, including a mother and her minor son, in Ganjam and Keonjhar districts.

In the first incident, a woman and her nephew died after being bitten by a venomous snake while they were asleep last night. The victims were identified as Damayanti Sabar and her nephew Limi Karji, residents of Bilugaon under Patrapur block in Ganjam district.

In the second incident, a mother and her 8-10-year-old son died after being bitten by a snake while sleeping at night in Radhikadeipur village, Keonjhar district. The deceased have been identified as Jenamani Munda and her son Ganesh Munda.

The incidents have sent shockwaves at the local communities, and further investigation is underway.
