Bhubaneswar: Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi are scheduled to visit Odisha in May to campaign for party candidates for upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
It was informed by Congress’ Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka at a poll preparatory meeting in Jeypore today.
Ulaka said that the two heavyweights will hit the campaign trail in Koraput in the first week of May.
Apart from Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also canvass for vote in Odisha.
While Sonia and Rahul are scheduled to visit Koraput and Rayagada respectively, Revanth Reddy will hold road-shows in Gunupur of Rayagada, Koraput and Jeypore, the Congress MP informed.
As the first phase of polling is scheduled to be held for four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats on May 13, Sonia and Rahul will join the campaigning in Koraput and Rayagada respectively ahead of voting.
Voting will be held for Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Berhampur Lok Sabha seats along with 28 Assembly constituencies in the first phase of elections on May 13.
