Bhubaneswar: Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik today announced to contest from Ghasipura Assembly Constituency in Keonjhar district as an Independent candidate.
Patnaik made the announcement after addressing a mass meeting at Ghasipura.
“After seeing today’s gathering I feel people want a change this time. People of Ghasipura are raising their voices against goondaism, murders, injustice and exploitation. I can see that people are eager to hand over power to some good people from criminals. Therefore, under pressure from the people I have decided to contest the election as an Independent candidate from Ghasipura. I shall file my nomination on 6th of May or before that,” Patnaik told reporters.
