Bhubaneswar: Southwest monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, however, light to moderate rain or thundershower or thunderstorm with lightning is to continue across several districts of Odisha for the next three to five days, as per the bulletin released by the Bhubaneswar centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Deogarh.
The IMD further stated that the maximum (Day temperature) is very likely to be above normal by 3-4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next three days. Also due to high surface humidity discomfort weather is likely especially over districts of Coastal Odisha.
