Bhubaneswar: A special campaign will start tomorrow in Odisha to make the voter list more accurate, clean and up-to-date in the context of Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026.
The campaign will be held across the state on October 7, 8 and 9.The main objective is to re-include eligible voters who were excluded from the voter list during the SIR process and to include newly eligible young voters.
Young men and women who have completed 18 years of age by 01.10.2026 can apply to get their names included through Form-6. They can apply to their Booth Level Officer (BLO).Eligible voters whose names could not be included in the final voter list during SIR-2026 can also apply during this special campaign.
To make the electoral roll more accurate, the list of deceased, transferred, absent and duplicate voters identified during SIR will be made available on the website of the concerned district and CEO Odisha.
Necessary verification will be done and if the name of any eligible voter is wrongly omitted, there will be an opportunity to file claims and objections. The list will also be provided to representatives of all recognised political parties. They can verify the list and file necessary claims and objections.
As per instructions of the CEO’s office, necessary training has been provided to all BLOs at the district level on including missing eligible voters and young voters. BLOs were directed to provide support and guidance to facilitate registration.
Eligible voters willing to add their names can contact their BLOs and seek assistance. The Chief Electoral Officer’s office has requested all eligible voters whose names are missing, newly eligible young voters and all those eligible under SIR-2026 to apply through Form-6 by availing the special campaign on October 7, 8 and 9.
