Bhubaneswar: In view of Cyclone ‘Dana’ over the Bay of Bengal, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department and Fire Services departments to provide regular updates on cyclone-related developments at three-hour intervals on their authorized social media handles.

This directive is effective from the night of October 24 to the evening of October 25.

In light of Cyclone Dana’s expected landfall between Puri and Sagar Island on October 24-25, the government has taken adequate measures, including evacuation to ensure zero casualties.

Fishermen have been advised against venturing into the sea during this period.
