Bhubaneswar: The erstwhile king of Puri, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb performed the ‘Acharya Barana Niti’ on Friday at the Sri Nahar for the yagna for Srimandir Parikrama project.
After completion of the ‘Acharya Barana Niti’ Gajapati Maharaja said that the Srimandir Parikrama project is a good work. The impossible was made possible by Lord Jagannath, Gajapati Maharaja.
He said the beauty of the temple was lost due to the presence of buildings around it. The Srimandir Parikrama project was made possible due to the eviction of these structures and encroachments within 75 meters of the Meghanada Pacheri, he said.
Parikrama project was essential for the security of the temple, he added.
He said earlier garbage used to be dumped around the Meghanada Pacheri, now it won’t happen.
