Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project or the Puri Srimandir Parikrama Project is to complete in a year, said Collector Samarth Verma on Monday.
Addressing a presser, Verma said that the project is underway keeping the best interests of the stakeholders and after holding multiple rounds of discussion with them.
The Supreme Court has also issued a directive to create facilities around the Shree Jagannath Temple for the safety and security of pilgrims and to facilitate the darshan.
Recently, authorities from the National Monuments Authority (NMA) and Director General of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had also visited the temple and have given a green signal to create various amenities for the pilgrims.
As the project is being implemented with close coordination of the ASI, the administration is ensuring that it is following all the guidelines of ASI in letter and spirit.
The administration is hopeful that the project will be completed within a year, before the next Rath Yatra, said Verma.
