Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced that the inventory of the sacred Ratna Bhandar will be conducted on August 31 and September 1.
The decision was taken keeping in view the various upcoming festivals and rituals at the 12th-century shrine. To ensure that the daily rituals of the deities and devotees are not disrupted, these two dates were finalized for the counting process, informed the temple administration.
According to the temple administration, the entire inventory process will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the Odisha government. All guidelines and protocols laid down in the SOP will be followed meticulously during the process.
The SJTA has also sought the full cooperation and support of the servitors and devotees for the smooth and successful conduct of the inventory.
The administration has also expressed hope that the process will be conducted smoothly with collective support. With meticulous planning, the SJTA aims to complete the process smoothly, balancing security, transparency, and devotion.
