STA Joint Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Mohanty Arrested By Vigilance

Bhubaneswar: The Joint Commissioner of the State Transport Authority, Cuttack, has been arrested by vigilance for possessing disproportionate assets. A case has been registered against Pradeep Kumar Mohanty at the Bhubaneswar Vigilance police station.

Vigilance officials found Mohanty in possession of assets, including multiple buildings, plots, and luxury items, worth crores, which he failed to explain satisfactorily. Mohanty will be produced in court today. The investigation is underway.

During searches, the anti-graft officials found disproportionate assets including three multi storeyed buildings, Rs.1 crore paid to purchase one 4-BHK flat in Bhubaneswar, two benami flats at Puri, 11 plots, one farm house spread over 14 acres, gold 2.1 kg, cash Rs.17.55 lakhs, two four wheelers (benami).
