Puri: The holy town of Puri is all set for Bahuda Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, i.e. the holy trinity’s return journey to Srimandir on Saturday.
After the morning rituals such as Mangal Alati, Tadapa Lagi, Rosha Homma, Surjya Puja, Dwarapala Puja, Gopal Ballav, Sakala Dhupa (Khechudi Bhoga), Senapata Lagi, and Mangala Arpana, the Bahuda Pahandi (procession to individual chariots) will begin at 12 pm, Chhera Pahanra at 2.30 pm while the Pulling of chariots will commence from 4 pm.
The three chariots had taken the ‘Dakshina Moda’ on Thursday (July 7). As per tradition, the three chariots were pulled one after the other towards south from the entry gate parking and stationed at the exit gate of Gundicha temple, known as ‘Nakachanadwar’. The chariot of Devi Subhadra was pulled first followed by the ones of Lord Balabhadra and Lord Jagannath.
