Bhubaneswar: In a boost to intra-state air connectivity in Odisha, Star Air is set to commence direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda starting August 16, 2025. Bookings are now open on the airline’s official website and leading travel platforms.
Announcing the new service, Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer of Star Air, said, “We are delighted to launch our services from Bhubaneswar, further expanding our footprint in eastern India. This new route between Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar not only enhances intra-state connectivity in Odisha but also supports the growing demand for affordable and convenient regional travel.”
The flights will be operated with the Embraer E175 aircraft, which features a 2×2 seating configuration across both business and economy class. Passengers can look forward to a comfortable flying experience, complete with hot meals and beverages as part of Star Air’s onboard service.
This new route is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the state capital and western Odisha, benefitting both business and leisure travellers.
