State-Level Children’s Fest ‘Suravi’ In Bhubaneswar From Nov 12

Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department in Bhubaneswar is set to host the three-day state-level children’s festival, ‘Suravi,’ from November 12 to 14.

According to an official press release, this annual event will take place at the Capital High School premises in Unit-3 and will feature participation from over 2,000 students, including winners of competitions held at the block and district levels.

During the festival, students will engage in a range of activities, including local tours, excursions, and interviews with prominent personalities. The program also features competitions, science project exhibitions, workshops, and group cultural performances, offering students a comprehensive experience.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday evening, with distinguished guests including Nityananda Gond, Minister of School and Mass Education; Sulochana Das, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation; MLAs Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Kumar Rout, and Babu Singh; and Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

On the second evening, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Minister Nityananda Gond will be in attendance.

The festival will culminate with the Children’s Day celebration on November 14, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will be the chief guest. Other notable guests on this day include Nityananda Gond, Minister of Higher Education Suryabanshi Suraj, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, MLA Babu Singh, and Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
