Bhubaneswar: The State-Level Children’s Festival ‘Suravi 2025’ concluded on a grand note, with Minister Nityananda Gond encouraging students to cultivate curiosity about global knowledge and integrate new technologies into their learning.
The three-day festival at Capital High School, Unit-3, saw enthusiastic participation from students across Odisha.
Gond stressed the importance of cooperation and healthy competition among children, highlighting the role of activities like sports, painting, music, and dance in holistic development. Mayor Sulochana Das praised the School & Mass Education Department for organising the event, while Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr. N. Thirumala Naik encouraged students to refine their talents.
Awards were distributed to students who excelled in various competitions, with 170 children receiving prizes. The Odisha State Open School released simplified textbooks for Class X, and 25 exhibition stalls showcased initiatives like NIPUN Odisha and PM-POSHAN.
The festival featured activities like the mock United Nations, Meet the Personality sessions, and Suravi Sambad, promoting media awareness among students. Over 2,400 students and 1,000 government officials participated in the event, which concluded with vibrant performances and interactive learning experiences.
