Puri: The second coordination meeting for Rath Yatra 2022, was held here on Wednesday. In this meeting, senior Ministers met senior officials and Servitors of Jagannath Temple. The proposals made by the Sevayats are under consideration and shall be expeditiously implemented, said Law Minister Pratap Jena.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Jena said the district administration and temple authority are fully prepared to ensure that the Rath Yatra is celebrated smoothly. “It will be after a span of two years, devotees will be able to witness Rath Yatra physically. We expect this year, a large number of people from around the country will turn up at Puri.”
Minister of State for Home, Dibyasankar Mishra said, the administration and the Government will assess the suggestions placed by people of Puri and take appropriate steps to fullfil those.
“Under the leadership of our Chief Minister, with the blessings of people of Puri, and efforts of all Sevayats, Rath Yatra has been celebrated with love, peace and order. This year too, all rituals and festivals from Snana Purnima to Niladri Bije, will be conducted smoothly,” Mishra added.
