Bhubaneswar: Ganja weighing 107 kg, Opium 517 gram, Gold 607
grams, Silver 196 gram, One Innova vehicle, 29 landed property and other
incriminating materials were recovered and seized during a raid conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch at Buguda Raghunathsahi in Ganjam district on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Two drug peddlers namely Banamali Pradhan and Arun Kumar Pradhan, both brothers, of Raghunathsahi were apprehended. The contraband items and other materials were recovered and seized from their possession.
As they could not produce any document or authority for possession of such contraband Ganja and Opium, they have been arrested and further investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF has seized more than 50 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 93 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 141 drug dealers/peddlers.
