Koraput: A tragic incident occurred at the Government Upgraded Residential School under Kotpad police station in Koraput district, where a Class-III student died, and two others were seriously injured after a notice board collapsed on them.
The deceased student has been identified as Premanand Bhatra, a resident of Sauniguda village under Gumuda panchayat.
According to school authorities, the incident happened while the students were brushing their teeth, and the notice board suddenly fell on them.
The injured students were rushed to the Kotpad Community Health Centre. One of the injured students was shifted to Jeypore Hospital for further treatment as his condition deteriorated.
