Bhubaneswar: A PG second-year student was found dead in Madhusudan Chhatrabas at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. The police have launched an investigation into the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Tapas Ranjan Nayak, a PG student of Department of Philosophy.
According to friends, Tapas was in good spirits last night, chatting with them without showing any signs of distress. However, his dead body was discovered in the morning, and it is suspected that he may have fallen from the hostel roof, although the exact cause of death remains unclear.
The police have sent the body to Capital Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death. The university authorities also reached the spot and are cooperating with police.
This incident has sent shockwaves through the university students.
