Bhubaneswar: A controversy has erupted as the results of CBSE Class X and XII board exams were not released for 1185 students from six schools under the Padampur block in Bargarh district.
The students, along with their parents, have gone on an indefinite strike in front of the Padampur Sub-District Collector’s office, demanding immediate resolution of the issue.
The CBSE results were declared on May 13, but the results of these students from six schools, including Padampur Public School and OAV Centre, were withheld. A total of 608 Class X students and 577 Class XII students are affected.
Local MLA Barsha Singh Bariha visited the strike site to express support to the students. The District Education Officer, Biswanath Sahu, assured the students and parents that efforts are being made to declare the results soon. He has written a letter to the Bhubaneswar Regional Office through the District Collector, requesting early publication of the results.
