Bhubaneswar: In view of the intense and unbearable heatwave sweeping across the Subarnapur district, the District Collector has declared a school holiday from tomorrow, April 18, till April 22, 2026.
The order covers all Anganwadi centres, schools, colleges, and technical institutions. The decision aims to protect students and staff from the severe heat conditions currently prevailing in the region.
Parents and educational institutions have been advised to take necessary precautions and avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
This precautionary measure is expected to provide much-needed relief to children and young students amid the ongoing extreme weather.
